La setmana passada, el dia 9, vam fer la darrera sulfatada pel cuc. Per aquesta circumstància s’ha de ser estricte amb les dates. Per això avisen. I ara comença a cuinar-se el neguit de la collita. Al Camí de la Font estem despampolant. Dilluns va venir el Josep Maria Anguera, que venia de comprar una bomba peristàltica a Vilafranca i em va recomanar que ho airegés. La setmana passada van caure 56 litres i està tot empapat. El temps és humit, fa poca calor. Només cal observar que la piscina del poble està buida. Als vespres fa frescor… i sembla que al raïm li costarà madurar. El comentari general és que tot va molt endarrerit. I això vol dir que ens anirem posant nerviosos i ho anirem expressant, cadascú a la seva manera. Hi ha cubes al camp perquè hi ha viticultors que encara estan fent un tractament per evitar la podridura…

Technology is a wonderful tool but if you do not understand the basics, you cannot tell if the output is correct. Todays technology does in seconds what it took hours or days to calculate. But you had to know the basics to arrive at a correct answer. Today, computers spit out reams of information but it may not necessarily be correct. And the majority of people today take that output as totally correct.Because they dont bother to learn the basics. Take a look at how the government reports on everything today. Prime example in not knowing the basics. If gasoline, food, healthcare, housing, taxes, etc. have all gone up this year, how do we then have 0 inflation? The computer says so. Thank god I dont need technology to know when I got to crap.
